A Film by Rommel Sales About Cinemabuhay

Cinemabuhay is an institutionalized effort to discover future writers, producers, directors and give them the opportunity to showcase their talents using Digital Video and High Definition formats.
The grant to “Slow Fade” is the third award to a Philippine movie by Cinemabuhay. The first P1 million grant was given to “Numbalikdawa,” a movie released in 2007, directed by Bobby Bonifacio and starring Maricel Soriano and Albert Martinez, who both donated their time to the project. The second 1 million peso award was given to “Cul de Sac,” directed by Juan Miguel Sevilla and starring Sam Milby, Jody Santamaria, and Chin-Chin Gutierrez. Both films were shown in digital theaters around the country and submitted as entries in local and international film festivals.
Cinemabuhay was founded in August 2005 by a group led by Albert Martinez, who put together a working group of creative and production people who helped screen the initial entries and choose the winner.About PLDT Smart Foundation
